Events & Photos

Events brought the community together at the new Performing Arts Center at Edina High School on Sept. 30, 2007 for a Sunday afternoon of jazz by the Edina High School jazz combo, a dramatic reading by the EHS Thespians, an inspiring lecture by Stanley Gordon West, and a panel of high school students examining the themes in "Until They Bring The Streetcars Back," comparing perspectives on high school life today.

Twin Cities by Trolley

Transit industry veterans and authors John W. Diers and Aaron Isaacs presented a program on Sept. 24, 2007 on the pictorial history of the organization and operations of the Twin Cities streetcar system. They discussed trolley design and construction and life as a street car operator. The Edina Historical Society provided a display of artifacts, photos and memories about the streetcar line that ran through Edina-Morningside.
