Dr. Ghafar Lakanwal, Afghan immigrant and founder of the Multi-Cultural Development Center spoke on the topic of diversity in Edina.

Talking About Bullying: Let's Get Real!

A video was watched where young people frankly discussed bullying. Participants then held a discussion facilitated by Hennepin County Attorney Willie Bridges

Fall Film Fest 2005: “Kandahar Journey into the Heart of Afghanistan

Winner of the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2001, Kandahar depicted the devastating effects of decades of war and Taliban oppression on the Afghan people.
 

Khaled Hosseini Gives Pen Pals Lecture
Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2005:  Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, Minnetonka
A school bus picked up 30 seniors at the Senior Center and 30 students from Edina High School who sat in mixed company on the bus and at a luncheon following the lecture.
